Happy 30th work anniversary to Principal, Carol Feldman! Carol’s first job in the industry was as a receptionist at Key Engineering. Thirteen years later she started at BNA Consulting (formally Becherer Nielson Associates). Carol’s strong work ethic and love for people helped propel her forward in her career and she became an Co-Owner of BNA Consulting Engineers from 1999 through 2015.
She is grateful to have had two incredible mentors Jerry Harvey (Key Engineering) and Bob Becherer (Becherer Nielson Associates) who believed in her and helped her achieve her goals. She developed a passion for Architectural Lighting and works with architects and owners to understand the “personality” of their buildings. Carol’s notable projects include the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (Formerly The Hotel Utah), Salt Palace Convention Center, Make-A-Wish Foundation (Murray location), the US Federal Courthouse in Salt Lake City (Co-designed with FMS Lighting), the Hale Centre Theatre (Sandy & West Valley City locations) and the Vivint Smart Home Arena Renovation to name a few.
Carol enjoys every aspect of a project from start to finish and loves being a part of a team that takes an idea to paper and then to construction. One of Carol’s many strengths is that she takes the opportunity to cultivate friendships with every project and she has made many lasting connections during her years in business. Her personality is candid and positive. Her energy and passion for her work is infectious.
Congrats, Carol, on three decades at BNA! You’re an inspiration to us and have paved the way for other women in this industry.
