I love working on a team and incorporating amazing technology into the buildings that I design. Technology helps define the building to its users. The BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification allows me to stay on the cutting edge of technology. My goal is to provide superior value and service to my clients.
Most of my working life has been spent in the construction industry in one form or another. Working on the consulting side and seeing a project through from the beginning of design through final construction is something that most do not get a chance to do. When one can drive by a school or some other civic project and know that it will be benefiting the community for many years to come, it provides a real sense of contribution. I truly enjoy working with the entire design and construction team to pull together a project that the owner is proud to claim. Working in an environment of teamwork and commitment makes the work all that much more enjoyable and rewarding.
I enjoy the unique challenges that each of my projects present. With so much emerging technology today, there is always a way to make my current project more functional, more sustainable and less expensive than the last. My satisfaction comes after meticulously working through a design on paper and then watching as the design comes to life in the field.
Thirty two years experience in design of electrical systems for over 200 schools, K-12, throughout the Salt Lake Valley, state of Utah and Wyoming. Experienced in design, cost estimating, field investigation work and construction administration.
The thing that I take pleasure in most about this business is the diversity of the projects that I have been able to work on over the years. Each project presents an opportunity to expand my knowledge of this industry and my understanding of my client’s businesses. I enjoy the camaraderie of a good design team, as we look at a project’s challenges and determine how to meet and hopefully exceed the owner’s needs.
Working at BNA throughout the years has allowed me to meet and work with people that I will remember for the rest of my life. I’ve been able to work on a variety of projects and expand my understanding of how electrical systems interface with the different building types.
I enjoy working with and understanding the personality of each project that I am involved in. Being part of a team that takes an idea to paper and then to construction is exciting and fun. But, most important are the people that I have the opportunity of working with and have been able to get to know and respect.
I love designing Audio Visual solutions for individuals and businesses. I enjoy working with the owner(s) to build a system that is easy to use and will be used day in and day out. I also love helping an owner understand technology and how it can assist them in their endeavors.
I enjoy being part of a design team that collaborates on a sustainable design that will meet the client’s needs for years to come. I love going to the construction site and learning how the design concepts are implemented in the field. But, the best part is years later, when I visit the building and my children ask me what my role was in the building’s design.
I have been privileged in pursuing my career in the electrical industry as a Design Engineer and Project Manager for over 12 years. Prior to my design involvement, I was fortunate to gain a unique perspective in the construction field working as a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Since then I have had the incredible opportunity to be involved in hundreds of different school projects throughout the state of Utah. I have a deep passion for working on school projects and enjoy working with others to create a unique and quality product for the community and the school district. Every project deserves our best and our utmost attention no matter how big or how small the project. My Team is dedicated to delivering attention and quality to your project… every time
I am an associate with both a technical and practical background in the electrical industry. With this experience, I am able to provide insight into both the design and construction phases of a project. My areas of expertise are in power distribution, emergency system design, un-interruptible power systems, nurse call, fire alarm, and security.
Starting my career in the military in communications systems, I have been a leader in the IT and security industry for more than 15 years. Specializing in security integration, risk assessment, and wireless infrastructure design, my projects have ranged from industrial and healthcare to education and government facilities. It brings me a great sense of pride to be involved in the design and implementation of systems that provide a safer, more efficient facility. Knowing that the hard work I put into a project could potentially save a life or solve a crime makes me want to work that much harder.
I am a native Utahn and the Office Manager for BNA Consulting. I have worked for BNA since early 2001 and feel so lucky and grateful to have found such a great fit for them and me. My part in “Team BNA” is human resources and lots of other bits and pieces that help keep team BNA happy, healthy, motivated and compensated.

My background in Theatrical lighting has allowed me to explore lighting in a dramatic way and experiment with how to reveal forms with light.
I thoroughly enjoy problem-solving. The best part of my job is the time right after I’ve discovered a solution through rigorous analysis – my “ah-ha” moments. Interpreting data creates a picture of where we’re at as a company and helps lay the ground-work for our future, and it’s a rewarding process for me to take part in. With over twelve years of accounting and finance experience across multiple industries, I love continuing this journey with BNA

Ever since I was a little kid, I always loved taking things apart to figure out how they worked and trying to put it back together. I have always been a very curious person and been fascinated with technology. That curiosity and love for knowledge grew with me and eventually led me into pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2016 and now I am pursuing a career in a fulfilling field of electrical design! My curiosity to understand how things work and putting them together has propelled me to always become more knowledgeable in the field of design to make sure that all buildings that I work on are completed to the best of my ability.
I’m a transplant from California that majored in Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I focused on power distribution and microcontroller based solutions for monitoring systems. I am actively pursuing my PE license and am excited to be a part of BNA’s mission to bring sustainable design to every project.

The aesthetics of a room or space should draw your attention and generate a level of comfort, however instead of looking with your eyes, take a moment and “look” with your ears. The acoustical quality is just as crucial to the identity of a room or space as the interior aesthetics. I have been assisting in creating a warm and welcoming space for your ears for over three years and my acoustical knowledge continues to expand. As an acoustician and scientist, I take pride in experimenting with different acoustical hypotheses and experiencing new and helpful outcomes. Through my experiences, I have gained a greater understanding of acoustics in the environmental and architectural atmosphere and every project is an exciting puzzle just itching to be solved.
I started my career in low voltage business about 25 years ago; I started out installing and specializing in security intrusion; then widened my skillset into CCTV systems, access controls, AV, and Network Infrastructures. Then I decided to try the distribution/sales side of it all and work with the decision-makers, and the contractors who were purchasing and installing all of this low voltage equipment for commercial and residential projects. I liked the challenge when it came to helping them find solutions on what systems/equipment would work best for their applications. That’s why I decided to come over to BNA to use my skills to help customers get the best possible solution for their applications.
I’m looking forward to working with this team of experts, and I’m excited to get going!

The computer world has always fascinated me. It is challenging and interesting work to set up servers and connect workstations to networks. Throughout my career, I have run cables and created networks, accessed the best hardware and software for each professional setting and connected businesses to their satellite offices. It has been fun design IT infrastructure and create options for our clients as they move through the process of building. It is exciting to design IT equipment to meet the specifications of each unique project. My goal is to listen, study and make decisions which will enhance the experience of all those who work within the walls of the buildings BNA Consulting designs.
One of the best things about working in this industry is getting to take engineering and design principles and tailoring them to the needs of an individual client. Every project comes with its own challenges, and I love finding new ways to solve each one. In addition, I get to work with a team of extremely talented and genuinely fun people that make the entire process incredibly enjoyable.

I grew up in what used to be the small town of Heber City, UT, with one sibling but a community of other “family”. My dad owned a concrete and construction company through the majority of my childhood, so seeing projects from conception through construction was common place for me. At a young age I recall telling my dad “I will never do what you do” after a long day of working with him, but it created a passion and desire to work on the design side of building projects.
I completed a certificate in Architectural and Engineering Design at Davis Technical College, which helped me get my foot in the door with BNA. I’ve been with BNA since 2017, and I love the design work I’m currently doing.
So far my favorite project has been the Weber State University football stadium expansion for a couple of reasons: It’s my first shot at project management under the tutelage of Kyle Kluge, and…I get to work with Kyle Kluge…
I am a diehard Jazz fan. I love to fish, golf, and be with my wife and kids. I’ve dabbled in bowling (I bowled a perfect game a couple years back), and play basketball, softball and golf leagues. My mustache is super ridiculous, but it’s sorta grown on me now…

My Career started as an electrician when I was in my early twenties. I discovered that I really loved the electrical industry and how it stimulated my brain. I found great satisfaction in creating projects from start to finish and seeing how electrons make things happen. I worked for ten years in Industrial, Commercial and Food Plants. During this time I received my Journeyman and Master Electrical License. I started Dynamic Electrical Systems, doing small projects and service, right before the economy tanked. That was a real world, Ivy League education. In 2009 I went to work for one of the larger electrical shops in the valley, doing mostly large commercial projects. After several years, I went to the service side for a change of scenery. I re-discovered that I really enjoyed resolving problems and the randomness associated with the service industry. When presented with an opportunity to move to BNA Consulting, I made the change. I look forward to learning new things and conquering the new challenges that present themselves on this side of the industry.
