I love working on a team and incorporating amazing technology into the buildings that I design. Technology helps define the building to its users. The BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification allows me to stay on the cutting edge of technology. My goal is to provide superior value and service to my clients.
Most of my working life has been spent in the construction industry in one form or another. Working on the consulting side and seeing a project through from the beginning of design through final construction is something that most do not get a chance to do. When one can drive by a school or some other civic project and know that it will be benefiting the community for many years to come, it provides a real sense of contribution. I truly enjoy working with the entire design and construction team to pull together a project that the owner is proud to claim. Working in an environment of teamwork and commitment makes the work all that much more enjoyable and rewarding.
I enjoy the unique challenges that each of my projects present. With so much emerging technology today, there is always a way to make my current project more functional, more sustainable and less expensive than the last. My satisfaction comes after meticulously working through a design on paper and then watching as the design comes to life in the field.
I am an associate with both a technical and practical background in the electrical industry. With this experience, I am able to provide insight into both the design and construction phases of a project. My areas of expertise are in power distribution, emergency system design, un-interruptible power systems, nurse call, fire alarm, and security.
I’ve been part of the BNA team since 2001 and feel so lucky and grateful to have found such a great fit for them and me. My part in Team BNA is human resources and lots of other bits and pieces that help keep us organized, happy, healthy, motivated, and compensated.

Starting my career in the military in communications systems, I have been a leader in the IT and security industry for more than 15 years. Specializing in security integration, risk assessment, and wireless infrastructure design, my projects have ranged from industrial and healthcare to education and government facilities. It brings me a great sense of pride to be involved in the design and implementation of systems that provide a safer, more efficient facility. Knowing that the hard work I put into a project could potentially save a life or solve a crime makes me want to work that much harder.
I have been privileged in pursuing my career in the electrical industry as a Design Engineer and Project Manager for over 12 years. Prior to my design involvement, I was fortunate to gain a unique perspective in the construction field working as a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Since then I have had the incredible opportunity to be involved in hundreds of different school projects throughout the state of Utah. I have a deep passion for working on school projects and enjoy working with others to create a unique and quality product for the community and the school district. Every project deserves our best and our utmost attention no matter how big or how small the project. My Team is dedicated to delivering attention and quality to your project… every time
I love designing Audio Visual solutions for individuals and businesses. I enjoy working with the owner(s) to build a system that is easy to use and will be used day in and day out. I also love helping an owner understand technology and how it can assist them in their endeavors.
I enjoy being part of a design team that collaborates on a sustainable design that will meet the client’s needs for years to come. I love going to the construction site and learning how the design concepts are implemented in the field. But, the best part is years later, when I visit the building and my children ask me what my role was in the building’s design.
The thing that I take pleasure in most about this business is the diversity of the projects that I have been able to work on over the years. Each project presents an opportunity to expand my knowledge of this industry and my understanding of my client’s businesses. I enjoy the camaraderie of a good design team, as we look at a project’s challenges and determine how to meet and hopefully exceed the owner’s needs.
Working at BNA throughout the years has allowed me to meet and work with people that I will remember for the rest of my life. I’ve been able to work on a variety of projects and expand my understanding of how electrical systems interface with the different building types.
I started with BNA Consulting over 40 years ago. During my first year, I worked as a draftsman and I’ve been a designer for the past 42 years. I’ve been involved in the design of electrical systems for over 700 K-12 school district projects throughout the States of Utah and Wyoming and have worked with 33 of the School Districts in Utah. My areas of expertise are in design, cost estimating, field investigation work, and construction administration. Besides schools I have experience in hospitals, retail, government, churches, and temples. It’s rewarding to me to understand the intent of our clients and help to bring those visions to life. Some of the work I’ve done can be seen- not only across the Salt Lake Valley, but throughout the country. I’ve enjoyed mentoring and working with many other experts in our industry and seeing them grow and progress in their own careers. Our industry has experienced significant changes over the life of my career in terms of the tools we use as well as the technology we design. I am passionate about the institutional knowledge I can offer as well as my familiarity with many of the past projects our clients have successfully completed.
I enjoy working with and understanding the personality of each project that I am involved in. Being part of a team that takes an idea to paper and then to construction is exciting and fun. But, most important are the people that I have the opportunity of working with and have been able to get to know and respect.
I came into the electrical world in 1998, working for a small electrical contractor who did a wide range of amazing work. I cut my teeth so to say in the school of hard knocks. I discovered that there are generally a thousand ways to get to the end of a project, but the end is much sweeter and more rewarding when it is designed and run well. I have been in the thick of many battles, and have seen many great projects closed out. I have worked for several contractors as well as running my own contracting firm.
My electrical apprenticeship schooling was done through SLCC and OWATC, and I came away with a degree in electricity. My OJT was done primarily in the Salt Lake valley, in the Industrial, Commercial and Food industries. I passed my Journeyman Electrician exam in 2002 and my Master Electrician exam in 2004.
I have worked in High Rises, Low Rises, Pump Stations, Mines, Refineries, Restaurants, Power Plants, Schools, Museums, Mortuaries, Hotels, Apartments, Malls, Hospitals, Businesses, Residences, Airports, Churches, Temples, and the list goes on.
After all these years, I am still thrilled with electricity. I love to find answers to problems, and enjoy a great challenge.
I came to the design side of electricity in 2018, and have really enjoyed my time working with Team BNA.
In my “Free” time, I enjoy scouting, mountain biking, four wheeling, hiking, working with youth groups, and spending time with my family.
How may I assist you?

Ever since I was a little kid, I always loved taking things apart to figure out how they worked and trying to put it back together. I have always been a very curious person and been fascinated with technology. That curiosity and love for knowledge grew with me and eventually led me into pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2016 and now I am pursuing a career in a fulfilling field of electrical design! My curiosity to understand how things work and putting them together has propelled me to always become more knowledgeable in the field of design to make sure that all buildings that I work on are completed to the best of my ability.
I thoroughly enjoy problem-solving. The best part of my job is the “ah-ha” moment after I’ve discovered a solution through rigorous analysis. Interpreting financial data creates a picture of where we’re at as a company, helps lay the ground-work for our future, and is a rewarding process for me to take part in. I’ve spent many years in the accounting field across multiple industries, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Governors University. I love being a member of the BNA team, and feel proud to be involved in the incredible work we do for the state of Utah, and all over the world.

Looking at buildings, the first thing to catch our eyes is their beautiful distinction. When we get a chance to design the right things in the right place, it completes the picture on the whole.
Being an Electrical Engineer, I’m revered to be a part of BNA, which not only gave me an opportunity to design electrical systems but also room to grow and learn.

I started my career in low voltage business about 25 years ago; I started out installing and specializing in security intrusion; then widened my skillset into CCTV systems, access controls, AV, and Network Infrastructures. Then I decided to try the distribution/sales side of it all and work with the decision-makers, and the contractors who were purchasing and installing all of this low voltage equipment for commercial and residential projects. I liked the challenge when it came to helping them find solutions on what systems/equipment would work best for their applications. That’s why I decided to come over to BNA to use my skills to help customers get the best possible solution for their applications.
I’m looking forward to working with this team of experts, and I’m excited to get going!

The computer world has always fascinated me. It is challenging and interesting work to set up servers and connect workstations to networks. Throughout my career, I have run cables and created networks, accessed the best hardware and software for each professional setting and connected businesses to their satellite offices. It has been fun design IT infrastructure and create options for our clients as they move through the process of building. It is exciting to design IT equipment to meet the specifications of each unique project. My goal is to listen, study and make decisions which will enhance the experience of all those who work within the walls of the buildings BNA Consulting designs.
For most of my life I have tried to understand the complexities and phenomenon behind the properties of sound. Random expressions of sound amused me as a child, music and symphonic composition became a sanctuary as a teenager, and the aspect of sound waves in theory and praxis piqued my interest in college. Little did I know that there were solutions to preventing noisy restaurants and upstairs neighbors that would become the start of my career.
It has been my goal to increase acoustical satisfaction through improved isolation in high-privacy areas, limited HVAC and mechanical background noise, and aurally comfortable interior spaces. Likewise, it is my personal obligation to ensure that when the interior designs are completed for visual satisfaction, the space is prepared for equal or greater auditory bliss. When this is accomplished and the design team is acoustically enlightened, my goals are fulfilled.
For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the BNA Consulting team. As an Associate, I’m deeply committed to ensuring that every project I’m involved with not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our clients.
Throughout my time here, I’ve worked on a wide range of engineering and lighting design projects. I pride myself on a meticulous approach, managing complex projects from their early stages through to completion. My goal is always to deliver solutions that blend functionality with the latest in technology, ensuring that our designs are not only effective but also forward-thinking.

Turning a small idea into a powerful, unique, and beautiful finished product is what I enjoy most about being a part of the BNA team. I enjoy doing it in my life, hobbies, and professional pursuits. Building the future for our clients is fulfilling and motivates me to find the best solutions for any project.
I’m one of those people who just loves to keep learning about things, expanding my understanding of not only the scope of work that I do but many other things as well. They say you never work a day in your life if you love what you do. Well I’m not smitten but I do very much enjoy anything involving construction and bringing projects to life. There’s just something about taking ideas from thoughts to finished pieces.
