Forty years ago today, Principal, Jerry Burnside started his Career at BNA (formerly Becherer Nielson Associates). Jerry began as a draftsman and within a few years was promoted to a Project Manager and later became Co-Owner of BNA Consulting Engineers. Jerry enjoys the variety that each day brings and that one day, he can be working on fire alarms and the next lighting design.
The early years of his career were spent designing retail and healthcare projects for Skaggs Grocery Stores and Shriners Hospital. His career shifted with his involvement with Hunter High School, and now he has worked with over 400 schools projects, K-12, throughout the Salt Lake Valley, state of Utah and Wyoming. Over the years Jerry has been a part of many notable projects, but the one that he is most proud of is his involvement with the Nauvoo Illinois Temple.
Jerry, thank you for your many valuable contributions over the past four decades. Your loyal and dedicated service played an integral role in BNA’s success.
